Patch Managers required by the NI Housing Executive to work from their offices in Downpatrick and Belfast

Your new company

The services of Hays have been retained by our client, the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, to recruit Patch Managers on an ongoing temporary contract basis to work from their offices in Downpatrick and Belfast (Shankill).

Your new role

You will provide a customer-focused housing management service which will include:

Tenancy Management & Sustainment:
Tenancy termination & management of Housing Executive empty properties (voids);
Tenancy commencement activities;
Tenancy management of existing and new tenancies and other tenure types existing within Housing Executive managed estates / properties;
Secure tenants seeking to transfer to other social housing;
Succession, assignment, joint tenancy & direct exchange applications;
Income collection and rent account management in respect of new, existing and outgoing tenants.

Estate Management:
Planned maintenance and associated consultation, customer payments, organising, recording and monitoring associated decant and other arrangements for tenants as necessary;
Community involvement, community cohesion and community safety;
Liaison with the Housing Executive's leasehold unit regarding leaseholders within the patch, as necessary.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for a Patch Manager position, you must possess:

A degree level qualification with a minimum of 1 year's relevant experience, or;
A B-Tech Higher level qualification with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience, or;
5 GCSEs or equivalent, including minimum Grade C in Mathematics and English Language with at least 3 years of relevant experience.

Relevant experience must be directly related to housing management and must have been gained within a front line customer support environment:

Experience of working in a customer focused environment with a proven ability of delivering a high standard of customer service;
Ability to work effectively with partners and develop professional relationships & networks across a wide range of services;
Have good problem-solving skills, taking a pragmatic approach to understanding and solving complex issues;
Successfully managing and prioritising a challenging workload with a wide range of responsibilities;
The ability to communicate effectively with customers and other professionals in challenging situations.
