Commercial Paralegal / In-house Legal Executive role based in the North West, hybrid working

Your new company
UK based company and part of a wider international group, this business has a solid client base, an impressive revenue-generating record, with future plans for growth and expansion. The legal team, based in the North West, is looking to appoint a senior lawyer to focus on commercial contracts advice, drafting and negotiating terms of agreement.

Your new role
You will report into the General Counsel to support the business on a range of legal matters, you will work in a broad role where you will be responsible for drafting, negotiating and reviewing a range of commercial contracts as well as providing advice on supplier terms. You will specifically support the in-house legal team, so you will naturally gain exposure to the experience you need to qualify as an in-house commercial lawyer. Any experience in data protection matters would be an advantage.

What you'll need to succeed
You must have a strong appreciation for contract law with experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements. You will either be a seasoned commercial contracts officer / manager or an in-house legal assistant with commercial contracts experience or have worked as a commercial contracts paralegal in private practice. Ideally, you will have a legal academic background either as a law / LPC graduate or working towards CILEX qualification. You must have excellent communication and relationship building skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and challenge where necessary.
