Your new role
My client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced pricing actuary to take up a highly influential role within their commercial pricing division.
You will be responsible for delivering actuarial analyses across a number of areas, including product pricing, risk modelling, corporate planning, reinsurance, establishment of adequate claims reserves, and underwriting analysis.
You will play a lead role in developing and motivating a team of pricing experts to ensure the timely and accurate provision of analyses, pricing models, actions to deliver agreed strategy and targets for a set of accounts or portfolio.
In addition, you will represent your team at key relevant meetings, working with the wider CUO function to communicate your findings, and to support their implementation.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will need to have previous London Market / Commercial Lines pricing experience (not personal lines), coupled with good working knowledge of packages like Emblem and RADAR. If you have any experience of R and / or Python, that’s advantageous.
You will also ideally have experience of coaching and mentoring team members, be able to challenge standard thinking, and also be able to prioritise and keep stakeholders updated as required.
What you'll get in return
They can offer a competitive base salary ranging between £85k and £110k DoE, with an excellent benefits package.
They offer flexible and hybrid working.
