Your new company

Hays Education are regularly working with primary schools located in Wigan and surrounding areas who are looking to appoint SEN Teaching Assistants to work on a 1:1 basis with children who have additional needs. These roles will be temporary to begin with and will require you to work 5 days a week. These schools are looking for committed individuals to join their teams and provide the right support for their pupils. It is a very special place where each child is encouraged to reach their full potential, both academically and personally.


Your new role

This job role will be working on a full-time basis and will involve working on a 1:1 basis with a child in either KS1 or KS2. You will be responsible for learning the specific needs of the child and making sure you provide the correct support, to help push this child to reach their potential. You must be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the pupils as they work and work closely with the teacher to ensure that all work set is delivered and planned in line with pupil ability. You will need to be fully committed to the role and be ready to give it 100%.


What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful in securing this position, you must have recent experience working with children and ideally previously experience supporting SEN children, even if you have limited experience, we want to hear from you. You should feel confident working with children in a 1:1 setting as well as being friendly and enthusiastic. You will need to be available to start immediately and commit fully to the role.
