Your new company

Our client are looking for Private Client/Probate lawyers to join their well-established department and currently have several positions available at different levels, from NQ through to experienced lawyers, as well as non-qualified candidates with equivalent legal experience. Our client offers a flexible and agile (home) working environment, so you can adjust your working location to suit your personal circumstances. This role is a home working position involving some travel to one of their offices nationally. (For example their Bristol office is based just outside of Bristol city centre, and they are located in a very commutable location from South Wales, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire.)

Your new role

In this role, you’ll manage your own caseload end-to-end, and focus on the needs of your clients. You’ll take responsibility for a varied caseload of probate cases from start to finish, using a case management system. You’ll work collaboratively with support from experienced members of the team to continually develop your expertise. You will be offered a fantastic opportunity to grow and succeed in a fast-growing area of the business. If joining at the more senior level, you’ll have the opportunity to manage a caseload of high net worth and complex cases from start to finish and provide legal technical know-how to other members of the team.

About you

These probate roles are open to lawyers at NQ level through to more experienced lawyers operating at Senior Associate/Legal Director level. This role would suit someone with a solid background in Probate; you will be qualified as a solicitor, CILEX or STEP qualification, or you might not be qualified but have equivalent legal experience with significant probate experience. You will have a client-focussed approach, with the ability to put the client’s interests at the heart of what you do. If joining at the more senior end, you will have the ability to handle a wide variety of complex cases and experience of dealing with taxable estates to include GROBs, POAT, business, agricultural and cross border interests. You should also have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, along with great team-working skills with the ability to build positive relationships with a range of colleagues.

What you'll get in return

As well as a competitive salary, you will enjoy a great benefits package including up to 10% pension contribution, generous holiday allowance, free gym and spa access and free parking. Our client is committed to building an inclusive workplace and offering you the opportunity to learn, grow and succeed in a business that puts people first.
