Customer Service Internal Sales Representative, permanent position, based in Derry City, office based role


Your new company

Is a market leader within their industry and a large employer in Derry. They have appointed Hays to assist them in recruiting a Customer Service Representative to join their team. This is an office-based role. Hours of work will be 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 12pm on Friday.


Your new role

As Customer Service / Internal Sales Representative is a central point of contact between external customers and the organisation, you will be responsible for providing first-class sales support to the Sales Team, ensuring all customer orders and issues are addressed in a timely fashion, as well as liaising between customers and internal departments to ensure efficient co-ordination of the customer order process. As Customer Service Representative, you will manage all aspects of orders including entry, processing and shipment. You will communicate with customers regarding issues such as order status, order changes and confirmations. You will also be responsible for maintaining customer records, which include weekly reporting on order status, the preparation of reports for internal / external sales meetings and customer visits, preparing and issuing quotes, identifying and targeting new opportunities, and logging and responding to customer scorecards / Performance Metrics. In your customer service role, you will create and maintain customer records and work closely with buyers and planners to achieve on-time customer deliveries.


What you'll need to succeed

As Customer Service Representative, you will have a minimum of 5 GCSE’s or equivalent, including Maths & English. Essentially, you will be able to demonstrate previous experience in a similar role. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. The ability to demonstrate excellent relationship-building skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and excellent IT skills, including use of MS Office & Excel.
