Senior External Material Scheduler Role

Your new role

  • Negotiate dead-lines and quantities with suppliers within the limits of the contract established by purchasing (negotiation of dead-lines / quantities, but not pricing)

  • Provide information and visibility necessary to the internal Manufacturing Area and suggest solutions in cases of imbalance

  • Confirm and communicate requirements and changes resulting from the MRP to the supplier by confirming any necessary modifications that are to be made

  • Issue the schedule agreements or purchase orders in line with ERP recommendations
  • Plans and initiates Supply Chain Procurement improvement projects at local level to feed into overall Supply Chain operational objectives, influencing decision-making as appropriate
  • Focal for Supply Chain audits, ensuring preparation for success in a timely manner
  • Manage free issue stock and raw materials with suppliers

What you'll need to succeed

  • An in depth understanding of the workings of an ERP system and demonstrable previous experience of working on an ERP system, particularly material scheduling

  • Previous experience mentoring / on job training with individuals
  • Competent Microsoft users include; Word, Excel, PowerPoint
