This FTSE250 is on the lookout for a bright, energetic, and proactive individual to join them as an Assistant Company Secretary. This is your chance to be part of a transformative journey, working closely with a fantastic Deputy Company Secretary and gaining exposure to a broad range of company secretarial matters. The role includes the below responsibilities:
  • Governance and Compliance: Drafting governance sections of the annual report, preparation of regulatory announcements, managing confidential lists, and updating the corporate forward planner.
  • Support and Coordination: Assist with Board and Committee papers, update directors’ conflicts registers, respond to third-party queries, organise the AGM, and support various corporate projects.
  • Research and Maintenance: Monitor regulatory changes, conduct governance research, maintain share capital records, support share allocation processes, manage trademarks and domains, and identify tech solutions for efficiency.
To be eligible for this role, you will be CGI qualified with over 5 years experience and currently working in a listed company. You should have detailed knowledge of the UK Listed regulatory landscape, including the Companies Act 2006, FCA Listing Rules, MAR, and the UK Corporate Governance Code. Strong enthusiasm, pride in your work, excellent attention to detail, and organisational skills are essential. You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be confident in dealing with senior stakeholders. A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a keen desire to learn and grow, along with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation, are also required.
