Long term Caretaker position in Widnes

Your new company
An amazing opportunity has become available for a Caretaker to join a Primary school in Widnes. The school are looking for a flexible, reliable and trustworthy caretaker to join their team on a long term basis. To be considered for this role you must be available to work between the hours of 08:00-16:00. For the right person this role has scope to become permanent.

Your new role
As a school Caretaker you will be expected to ensure that the school is kept safe, secure and clean. You will be responsible for:
  • Locking and unlocking the buildings as required.
  • Dealing efficiently with planned maintenance.
  • Completing day to day establishment requirements and problems that may arise.
  • Undertaking minor repairs to fixtures and fittings.
  • Monitoring the premises for any hazards, carrying out repairs and reporting problems.
  • Carry out any additional duties as required by the head.

What you’ll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role you will need to have:
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety, hygiene and security procedures.
  • Ability to communicate well.
  • Physically fit/ active for any lifting.
  • Basic DIY skills.
  • Ability to manage your own workload/ day.
  • You will need to be flexible and reliable.
