Site Engineer - Permanent - Main Contractor - Derby - Strong Project Pipeline - Multi-Sector - Civils

Your new company

You will be joining an established civil engineering and groundworks contractor based in Derby. This multi-accredited and employee-first main organisation operates across a multitude of different sectors, including the industrial, commercial and energy industries, and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. Due to continued success, they are looking to strengthen their delivery team and onboard a Site Engineer to join their business.

With sites across England and South Wales, you will be based on those closest to home, although you may be expected to commute to sites further afield and lodge away from home if need be.

Your new role

As Site Engineer, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
  • Setting out, levelling and surveying sites
  • Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials
  • Managing, monitoring and interpreting contract design documents
  • Preparing reports as required
  • Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of materials
  • Liaising with key internal and external project stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful, you must have:
  • Experience setting out groundworks, drainage and/or RC works
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to commute and lodge at sites further afield when necessary
  • CSCS card and full UK driving licence.
