HLTA Inclusion worker vacancy in Huddersfield to start ASAP

Join our dedicated team at an all-through alternative education provision in Huddersfield, where we are committed to supporting students who are unable to attend mainstream schools due to medical needs, including social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. We are looking for a compassionate, patient, and empathetic individual who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of these students.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Innovative Teaching: Adopt relevant strategies to support the work of the teacher and enhance the achievement of all students, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Inclusive Learning: Promote and facilitate inclusion by encouraging the participation of all students in learning activities.
  • Classroom Support: Assist class teachers in maintaining good order and discipline amongst students.
  • Resource Management: Organise and manage the teaching space, developing resources to create a stimulating and safe learning environment.
  • Student Assessment: Observe and assess student performance, providing valuable feedback to teachers.
  • Small Group Instruction: Lead small group and one-on-one teaching sessions, and cover classes as needed under supervision.
  • Home Engagement: Support pupils with integration into a Hub by delivering engagement sessions in their homes.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience working with students with SEN in the UK.
  • HLTA status or equivalent qualification.
  • A proactive and caring attitude.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in planning and delivering lessons.
