Operations Manager - EV Specialist Contractor - Belfast

Your new role

An experienced Operations Manager is sought to oversee the daily operations of the EV charging network and related services throughout Northern Ireland. The ideal candidate will have a background in operations management, a passion for sustainable technology, and the ability to lead a team towards achieving operational excellence.

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Gather customer feedback to inform service improvements and innovations.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of engineers and support staff.
  • Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery of EV charging infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and within-budget project completion.
  • Onboard new subcontractors and oversee during the construction phase.
  • Establish and enforce quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards in service delivery.
  • Conduct regular audits and performance evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyse financial data and operational metrics to drive profitability and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop strategies that enhance market presence and customer acquisition.
  • Oversee the management and optimisation of IT systems supporting operations and customer service.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements in the EV charging domain.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, promoting products and services to customers and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.
  • Prepare reports for the COO on operational performance and expenditure.

    What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Civils, or related field.
  • 5+ years of operations management/project management experience.
  • Strong commercial and financial understanding.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Familiarity with IT systems and data management.
  • Commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring practices, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Full clean UK driving licence.
