SHEQ Manager



Hays Health & Safety are excited to be working with an exciting and rapidly growing Construction and Civils Contractor based in the Southern Manchester area.

Due to an exciting level of growth, this Contractor is seeking a confident SHEQ manager with experience of developing internal Health & Safety Management Systems.

You will have a strong background in Civils and Construction, with a proven track record of achieving or maintaining ISO 9001, 14001, 45001.

You will be responsible for Health & Safety on multiple projects and therefore will be expected to communicate effectively at all levels of the business.

Your new role
In your new role as SHEQ manager you will need to;

  • Ensure all quality standards are met (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001).
  • Develop, implement & maintain all areas of Health & Safety across the Business.
  • Create policies and procedures and communicate and train site teams to ensure compliance.
  • Complete regular Site Audits and liaise with External Auditors.
  • Manage and implement Health & Safety Training.
  • Lead investigations into accidents and near misses and implement preventative measures and ensure all accidents are reported.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful, you will uphold a dedication to Health & Safety at all times, ensuring compliance throughout multiple sites. You will showcase strong leadership and be willing and able to put your own stamp on the role.

You will ideally hold a NEBOSH in Construction and have experience within the Civil engineering sector.

You will have a large amount of control over Health & Safety within this organisation, so you must have the ability to plan your own workload and work under pressure.
