Your new role

In this important role, you will support the Finance Team by assisting fee earners across the firm. This includes participating in monthly billing meetings, ensuring work is progressing efficiently, and offering support to the billing and costs teams. Key responsibilities involve managing WIP, addressing billing issues, and coordinating payment processing. You will provide assistance with billing queries and tasks. You will report to the Finance Manager.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Knowledge of Legal Aid / Legal Help billing is essential.
  • Solid understanding of legal billing and public funding systems (both civil and criminal sectors).
  • Proficient in CCMS system.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of numeracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with fee earners, external stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • The ability to work independently and use initiative when solving problems.
