Hays Supply Chain is excited to be recruiting a key position for a Demand Planner based in North Lincolnshire for a growing manufacturing business. As Demand Planner, you will develop a short, medium and long-range production schedule to meet all current and future customer requirements on time and in full, ensure cross-functional buy in from all key stakeholders across the business and act as a planning bridge between Sales, Operation, Engineering, Quality and the Production team, interacting with all levels of management within the business.
Key duties include:
- Design and maintain a Master Production schedule to ensure fulfilment of all customer demands.
- Liaise with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders to obtain coordinated buy in.
- Communicate and distribute the plan and associated changes to all levels of the organisation.
- Drive performance improvements and technical innovation in MRP tools and techniques
- Review affiliate stocks and respond to changes in demand and drive resolution of capacity constraints to manage inventory levels
- Analyses sales forecasts to determine short and medium-term requirements for production
- Monitors and adjusts MRP to respond to market / production requirements and optimise costs
- Establishes guidelines for delivery time commitments
- Establish and implement continuous process improvement initiatives
- Define and discuss delivery constraints
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a proven track record within a similar role in manufacturing, with extensive knowledge of MRP forecasting, planning, distribution, inventory control and manufacturing. Ideally, you will hold relevant qualifications in Supply Chain Management and have experience of using SAP as an MRP/ERP system and have experience in the implementation and improvements of these systems.
You will be a team player who is a strong character, highly analytical and has the ability to build lasting relationships both internally and externally.
