Permanent Buyer Job Opportunity with a manufacturing company based in Antrim

Join a leading manufacturing company based in Antrim, renowned for its innovative approach and commitment to excellence. Our client is dedicated to providing high-quality products and services, and they are looking for a talented Buyer to join their dynamic team.

Your new role

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day achievement of personal and team KPIs. Your role will involve ensuring the successful purchasing of goods for production with the best possible lead times and costings. You will be innovative and efficient in sourcing materials and equipment, managing supplier performance, and maintaining good working relationships with suppliers and customers. Additionally, you will conduct pricing and service negotiations to secure the best possible agreements, maintain stock levels, and ensure a smooth supply chain flow. You will also process invoices and perform other duties as required, all while adhering to the company's policies and procedures.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need experience in a purchasing or procurement role, strong communication and negotiation skills, and knowledge of Microsoft Office packages. You should be able to think creatively and offer solutions, be passionate about the industry, and have experience working in a busy department within a manufacturing environment. Understanding raw materials specifications and knowledge of special processes will be advantageous.
