HSE Manager

Hays Health & Safety are delighted to be supporting a global Manufacturing Organisation within the automotive industry to find a highly experienced HSE Manager.

You will have extensive experience within the manufacturing industry and you will have experience implementing management systems in line with ISO 14001 & ISO 45001.

You will currently have Lead Auditor Status and be able to communicate effectively with all key stakeholders.

Your new role

Reporting to the Plant Manager you will;

  • Maintain and develop Management Systems in line with ISO standards (14001 & 45001).
  • Recommend and implement improvement plans and drive preventative actions.
  • Lead the 3-year audit program, plan, observe and communicate results to the management team.
  • Review risk assessments annually and following any reported accidents.
  • Ensure all EHS topics are covered with site teams and they are actively participating in these daily.
  • Ensure equipment instillation is completed in a safe manner.
  • Complete other ad hoc work such as visits to other sites on occasion.

What you need to succeed

To succeed, you will be a qualified Internal Auditor (ISO 14001, 45001) within the last 3 years, and have a strong knowledge of UK legal requirements.

As this is a stand-alone role, you will hold a high level of self-motivation and be able to manage your own workload effectively.

You will ideally hold an NVQ/IEMA in Environmental management and have experience of implementing this within a manufacturing setting.
