Facilities Manager Wanted - Manchester based

Your new company

I'm working with a large student support organisation in Manchester City Centre, to recruit a facilities manager into their established estates team. This organisation aims to improve the lives of students in the city by generating opportunities, providing advice and support services. Through their multi-use venues, they provide a wide range of events for a large city-wide student population.

Your new role

Your role will be crucial to ensuring that all the facilities on-site are safe, compliance, clean and maintained. You will manage a team of cleaners, facilities assistants, maintenance staff and building managers to oversee the day-to-day operations of all estates/facilities.

Core duties:
- Manage a team of 8 facilities staff including one-to-ones
- Ensuring service levels are maintained
- Managing on-site sub-contractors
- Directly manage soft service staff including rotas, stock, hiring process
- Annual FM budget management
- Take ownership of on site health & safety

What you'll need to succeed

- Experience in people management in an FM capacity

- Experience in cleaning and soft-services
- IOSH/NEBOSH
- Problem-solving skills
- Proactive mentality
- Ability to work independently

What you'll get in return

- £33,000-£38,000 DOE

- 42 days annual leave
