About the Role:
Imagine a day where you are at the heart of engineering excellence, creating and refining 3D CAD designs using Siemens NX software. You will be instrumental in replacing outdated auxiliary equipment on industrial gas turbines, ensuring they remain reliable and efficient. Your designs will seamlessly integrate into projects, thanks to your collaboration with fluid systems, controls, and electrical engineers.

What You'll Do:
- Innovate and Design: Use your creativity and technical skills to develop cutting-edge solutions and refine 3D CAD models.
- Enhance Systems: Apply the latest technologies to upgrade gas turbine auxiliary equipment, boosting performance and reliability.
- Collaborate and Coordinate: Work closely with various teams and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Standardise Solutions: Document your innovative solutions to ensure they can be applied consistently across multiple projects.
- Manage Obsolescence: Identify and source replacements for outdated components, keeping equipment functional and up-to-date.
- Improve Products: Propose and implement upgrades that enhance the overall lifecycle of our products.
- Support Sales: Provide technical recommendations that support future upgrades and sales initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred. An HNC with relevant experience may also be considered.
- Experience: Several years in a design and 3D CAD role within a similar industry. Experience with piping design for gas/steam turbines or gas compression systems is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Siemens NX and 3D CAD.
- Software Proficiency: Knowledge of PLM software and MS Office Suite.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and coordination abilities.
- Self-Management: Ability to juggle multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Leadership: Experience mentoring junior designers/engineers.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Attitude: A proactive, positive, and detail-oriented approach.
