HSE Lead

Hays Health & Safety are delighted to be working with a leading engineering and maintenance provider in the UK, to find an experienced HSE Lead to take a leading role managing site-based teams, providing support and guidance to the site director.

As this organisation continues to grow and enhance their operations, they seek a HSE lead who has previous experience managing a large team and has extensive knowledge and experience with HSE legislation and CDM regulations within the petrochemical industry.

You will always uphold the highest standards and have significant experience with internal management systems and have the ability and desire to coach and mentor teams to bring a strong HSE Culture to work every day.

Your new role

Supporting the regional HSE Manager you will;

  • Lead and develop HSE plans in line with business objectives.
  • Identify the needs of HSE Advisors and report these to site management.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders to drive a positive HSE culture.
  • Coaching and Mentoring HSE Advisors.
  • Carry out Audits of customer sites and follow up on actions in a timely manner.
  • Engage with client HSE personnel.
  • Engage and advise HSE Advisors on investigating incidents and lead the process to ensure satisfactory completion.
  • Support the Regional HSE Manager to support and deliver company objectives.

What you will need to succeed

To be successful, you will have extensive experience of auditing sites within the industrial services sector and be a diligent HSE professional who takes pride in providing Health, Safety and Environmental standards in your role at all times.

You will hold a NEBOSH General Certificate and be GradIOSH status as a minimum, you will be ideally hold or be working towards a NEBOSH diploma or NVQ level 5 and have experience within the petrochemical industry.

You will have the ability to manage your own workload and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

A salary of £61,000 is on offer to the correct candidate.
