We are seeking a passionate and dedicated History Teacher for a temporary assignment from February to March. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective history lessons to students, ensuring a stimulating learning environment that fosters academic growth and curiosity about historical events and contexts.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated History Teacher for a temporary assignment from February to March. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective history lessons to students, ensuring a stimulating learning environment that fosters academic growth and curiosity about historical events and contexts. The candidate will need to drive and be willing to travel between sites this will be allocated in your timetable and petrol can be expensed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality history lessons to students in accordance with the curriculum.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and examinations.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic development.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in departmental meetings and professional development opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and any concerns.
  • Ensure adherence to school policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in History or a related field.
  • Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) is preferred.
  • Previous teaching experience, particularly in history, is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of historical events, periods, and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
