A school in chester has approached Hays looking for an IT Technician to support the school. The site contains all sections of the school catering for pupils aged 3-18.

It is a thriving, dynamic and forward-thinking school with more than 1100 pupils. The school is based on the outskirts of chester. They are regularly named the top performing school in Cheshire in regard to their public examination results.

Your new role

They are looking for an IT technician to join the technical support team. Working at the school, you will use strong problem-solving skills and technical expertise to help to answer queries from staff and students, as well as support the maintenance of technology used in the school.

Main Duties:

• The installation, maintenance, and ongoing support of over 1800 technology assets (work stations, mobile devices, AV, equipment etc)
• Resolving technical issues for over 1500 end users (including pupils and staff)
• Responding to support tickets with effective response times

The hours will be Monday–Friday 0830-1700.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will have a professional IT qualification and a recent customer facing IT experience (Preferrably in the education sector)
