Your new company
As a Major Works Surveyor you will join a registered provider of social housing in Somerset who are dedicated to maintaining and improving community infrastructure and residential homes across the region. An opportunity has arisen to join the team as a Major Works Repair Surveyor, a critical role in ensuring safety, functionality, and longevity of homes.
Your new role
As a Major Works Surveyor, you will be responsible for investigating and diagnosing defects across residential homes in the region, undertaking initial defect diagnosis before making a recommendation on a course of action for the repair.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this position, you will need to be able to demonstrate an excellent track record, and experience, of undertaking a surveyor role previously within housing or occupied properties.

In return we are able to offer a competative hourly rate, paid to you on a weekly basis across the duration of your contract. Flexible and hybrid working options are available within this role, on the provision that you can undertake property inspections and surveys on a weekly basis across the region.

- Conduct detailed surveys and inspections of major repair projects.
- Identify and assess structural issues, defects and necessary repairs.
- Develop and implement repair and maintenance programmes.
- Co-ordinate with contractors and other stakeholders.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation.
