PPA teacher required for a long-term job 2 days a week

Hays Education are currently working in partnership with a primary school in Runcorn to recruit a PPA teacher for 2 days a week. You will be covering PPA in EYFS, Year 2, Year 3 and Year 4.

The school is welcoming applications from experienced teachers and ECTS.

The role is initially for the spring term but it is likely to be extended for the rest of the academic year.

Your new role

In the role of a PPA Cover Teacher, you will be responsible for covering when the class teacher takes time away to plan and prepare future lessons. You will be expected to deliver the lessons left by the class teacher and ensure pupils are still fully engaged in the work and reaching their potential. It is key to have good communication roles and be able to build relationships quickly with both staff and pupils. This is a great role for an NQT/ECT to gain experience in various classrooms or for someone looking for a part time teaching role.

  • Be comfortable and flexible in teaching all year groups from Reception to Year 4.
  • Adapt to last-minute changes with ease.
  • Be confident in implementing a range of behaviour management strategies.
  • Enjoy collaborating with a diverse group of children, Learning Support Assistants (LSAs), and other staff members.

What you'll get in return

By registering with Hays Education, not only will you receive all the support you need from a DfE accredited recruitment expert, you will also enjoy a range of employee benefits, including:

• Advice on CV writing and interview techniques.

• Access to permanent vacancies through the Hays PRP team.
• Competitive rates of pay and holiday pay.
• £250 reward vouchers when you recommend a colleague.
