Your new company

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading privately owned Building Services Consultancy for a permanent Revit Technician position based in Nottingham. This company is renowned for its innovative approach and commitment to excellence in the building services industry.

Your new role

In this role, you will provide technical support, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team that includes Building Services Designers, Building Physicists, and Document Controllers. You will work on a variety of projects across multiple market sectors, delivering services from feasibility through to detailed and fully coordinated design for installation purposes, covering RIBA stages 0 to 5. Key responsibilities include:
  • Collaborating with Building Service Engineers to produce coordinated drawings
  • Delivering projects as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Coordinating Building Services using REVIT MEP
  • Creating and amending MEP Families, Objects, Tags, and Annotations
  • Developing legends, schedules, and templates
  • Modifying drawings in both Revit MEP & AutoCAD
  • Meeting project requirements within specified time frames
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current industry regulations and design standards
  • Providing guidance to junior staff and apprentices
  • Adhering to BIM Protocols
  • Liaising professionally with clients, professional teams, contractors, and staff at all levels

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you should be proficient in Revit MEP CAD/AutoCAD packages and associated software. Ideally, you will have a background in the MEP industry or experience in a similar role. Other essential skills and qualifications include:
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to exercise initiative and prioritise tasks
  • Organised and able to work to high standards within agreed timescales
  • Team player with the ability to work independently
  • Ideally, ONC/HNC in a relevant discipline
