HS&E Manager

Hays Health & Safety are thrilled to be working with an established affordable housing provider who are seeking a HSE Manager to support their organisation on an interim 6 month basis.

The HS&E Manager will be accountable for the compliance with all HSE legislation including CDM and ensure HSE support is available to all key stakeholders.

They will ensure the organisation is aware of any current and potential requirements and changes in legislation and promote a positive environment.

Your new role

  • Ensure all Health & Safety Legislation is met and the organisation is in a position to respond to any changes
  • Lead HSE functions to effectively deliver support services within the organisation
  • Engage and communicate emerging trends with senior management and advise on future measures
  • Support operational team by providing expertise by delivering HSE improvement plans
  • Develop and lead HSE Management systems and ensure they are implemented
  • Develop and implement a Health & Safety Audit programme.
  • Hold responsibility for upholding all ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001) and all other appropriate accreditations

What you will need to succeed

To succeed in this role you must have experience in a management or advisory Health & Safety position for a house building organisation or similar.

You must be a Chartered IOSH Member (CMIOSH) with a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent and a NEBOSH Construction Certificate.

You ideally will also have a Lead Auditor qualification with experience or a qualification in environmental standards.
You will have excellent organisation skills to ensure full resourcing of Health & Safety functions are available to the organisation and experience of coaching and mentoring key stakeholders within a similar organisation.

A day rate of £350 - £400 is available for the right candidate.
