Trainee Accountant, Graduate Accountant

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Accountant to join our clients' accountancy practice. This entry-level position is ideal for recent graduates or individuals looking to start their career in accounting. The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training and support to develop their skills and gain practical experience in various accounting functions within a professional practice environment.
Your new role
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for clients.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records for multiple clients.
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts for clients.
- Support the accounts payable and receivable processes for clients.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures for clients.
- Conduct financial analysis and assist in budgeting and forecasting for clients.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with other team members to gather and analyse financial information.
- Participate in audits and assist with audit preparations for clients.
- Provide administrative support to the practice as needed.
What you'll need to succeed
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Eagerness to learn and develop professionally.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous internship or work experience in an accountancy practice.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage).
