Head of Sales, Contract Catering, Oxfordshire, £75,000 (£100,000 OTE), Immediate Start!
Our client, a family-run business whom have grown to over 300 FTE and been established for over 30 years, are looking to recruit an experienced, personable Head of Sales to join their successful operation. Leading a small team of 4 FTE to meet and exceed new business sales targets, this is an incredible opportunity for the right candidate!
Our client are a Fresh Food Contract Caterer, and service a wide range of both corporate and Public Sector clients across Oxfordshire/Midlands/South. Combining fresh, bespoke food with an incredible service, our client have grown extensively since their inception in the late 80's, and are continuing to evolve. Due to their need for growth, they are actively seeking the perfect candidate to lead their Sales operation, reporting directly to the CEO. In a nutshell, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading a small Sales team of 4 x FTE (including 2 x Sales Managers, 1 x Bid Writer and 1 x Marketing Executive)
- Coaching/developing team to exceed revenue/deal targets
- Implementing sales strategies/processes to ensure a higher quality of performance/outputs
- Working to own (albeit slightly smaller) sales expectations
- Meeting clients in person to pitch solutions
- Assisting Bid Writer to compose/deliver suitable tender(s)
- Improving those employees under tutelage (better sales techniques/confidence when selling, etc)
In order to be considered for this position, it is ESSENTIAL that you have the following:
- Experience of selling a solution (an intangible service, not a product) - industry experience obviously a plus, but absolutely not essential!
- Track record of improving the performance of other Sales people (leading teams to success, etc)
- Experience of owning P&L/budget(s)
- Experience of working in, or alongside, a Bids/Tender team (exposure to writing/pitching tenders)
- Demonstrable experience of exceeding B2B Sales targets
- Articulate, credible demeanour
- Fun, sociable personality
- Full, clean UK driving licence
In addition to a very competitive basic salary of £75,000, our client are also offering the following:
- Company Car (full business travel expensed)
- Uncapped commission structure (realistic Year One OTE: £100,000)
- Full ownership/autonomy of company sales strategy
- Amazing progression opportunities
- Free parking at the office
The role will be office-based, with the expectation that you will likely be on the road meeting/pitching to clients 1/2 days a week. Our client are looking to move very quickly on this, so any interested candidate(s) are urged to apply at their earliest convenience!
