Hays are representing a food production company to recruit a Business Development Manager in Armagh.
Your new role
As Business Development Manager, you will take responsibility for generating leads, cultivating client relationships, and driving sales for premium food products. This role demands thorough knowledge of the food market, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to consistently meet and surpass sales targets. You will be responsible for:
- Identifying and prospecting potential clients.
- Building and maintaining a sales pipeline.
- Develop and sustain strong client relationships.
- Provide post-sales support.
- Stay updated on the product range.
- Educate clients on product benefits.
- Contribute to new product ideas.
- Create and present proposals and contracts.
- Negotiate terms to secure deals.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities and provide feedback for strategic adjustments.
- Maintain accurate sales records.
- Create regular sales reports and participate in team meetings.
What you'll need to succeed
Proven experience in sales, preferred within food/FMCG industries.
Thorough knowledge of food supply chain and market dynamics.
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team.
Target-driven with a demonstrable record of meeting sales targets.
Customer-focused approach.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience of adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
