Legal Counsel

Position Overview:

Join a global telecommunications company in a growth phase on an interim 3-month contract, with the likelihood of extension. This role in the commercial legal team supports transactions across the UK and Europe and contributes to cross-functional projects. Responsibilities include handling RFPs, negotiating customer contracts, and managing in-life contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

Negotiate sales agreements with minimal supervision.
Manage multiple complex transactions and close deals.
Support new business initiatives and product launches.
Collaborate with other departments to close transactions.
Provide legal support for HR, real estate, procurement, IP, and data protection.
Liaise with external legal counsel.
Promote best practices and update standard templates.
Train business/sales teams on legal issues.
Conduct legal research and draft opinions.

Skills, Qualifications, and Strengths:

Qualified lawyer in England & Wales, ideally 5 years PQE.
Experience in telecommunications and multinational organisations.
Strong drafting skills and contract law knowledge.
Creative and strategic thinker.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Familiarity with various cultures and legal systems.
