Legal Counsel

Position Overview:

Join a global telecommunications company in a growth phase on an interim 3-month contract, with the likelihood of extension. This role in the commercial legal team supports transactions across the UK and Europe and contributes to cross-functional projects. Responsibilities include handling RFPs, negotiating customer contracts, and managing in-life contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate sales agreements with minimal supervision.
  • Manage multiple complex transactions and close deals.
  • Support new business initiatives and product launches.
  • Collaborate with other departments to close transactions.
  • Provide legal support for HR, real estate, procurement, IP, and data protection.
  • Liaise with external legal counsel.
  • Promote best practices and update standard templates.
  • Train business/sales teams on legal issues.
  • Conduct legal research and draft opinions.
Skills, Qualifications, and Strengths:
  • Qualified lawyer in England & Wales, ideally 5 years PQE.
  • Experience in telecommunications and multinational organisations.
  • Strong drafting skills and contract law knowledge.
  • Creative and strategic thinker.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Familiarity with various cultures and legal systems.
