My client seeks a qualified costs lawyer (minimum 5 years’ experience - pre or post qualification) with experience of working with City firms or equivalent large commercial practices.

This dynamic international law firm focusses on the resolution of complex disputes, transactions and also regulatory matters. This high-end practice is looking to recruit an additional costs lawyer to join the UK team, supporting litigators in London, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

The firm’s litigators specialise in general commercial litigation as well as shipping, banking, employment, property, patents and are involved in court litigation and arbitrations.

You’ll work with world-class lawyers across multiple cities. All within a structure offering exceptional support, resources and reach.

Day to day you will prepare costs schedules, statements of costs and detailed bills of costs - reviewing and commenting on documents submitted by other parties. Preparing and advising on costs budgets and client estimates. Preparation and advising on schedules in support of applications for security for costs and requests for payments on account. Working with the litigators to advise clients on strategy relating to costs recovery and the wider issues arising from related questions of procedure.
