We do this by setting out the UK's attractiveness offer to
Investors and global business, curating engagement programmes for the Lord Mayor and the Policy Chairman within priority markets across the
year and leading a focused set of campaigns and initiatives that attracts and retains foreign investment in the UK. The role holder will be expected to operate within this high profile and global context.

The Events Project Manager will lead the co-ordination of effective performance on project delivery on allocated projects and events. They will ensure that project deliverables are met on time, to a high standard and within budget. They will also support the Head of Trade & Investment Programs with any other ad hoc project delivery.

    Technical Skills and Expertise
  • High level of IT proficiency including MS Office packages.
  • Strong methodical, numeracy and digital skills, with an attention to detail and accuracy, and a structured approach to time and project management
  • A deep knowledge of project management techniques and tools, including significant experience of project governance. *Experience of Agile in a project environment would be desirable.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships both internally and externally.

    Experience Required:
  • Successful track record of managing and delivering projects and events in a high-performing complex organisation.
  • Experience of the organisation/co-ordination of business events involving a c-suite audience.
  • Significant experience of successfully managing multiple assignments simultaneously, managing workloads and reprioritising as necessary to meet strict deadlines.
  • Experience of managing complex internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong financial planning experience, with experience in managing multiple project budgets.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation and design of a priority event. This Summit will take place in May 2025 and your role will be to ensure and deliver this event, through (1) Project governance, ensuring that allocated projects have a robust governance structure in place and that projects are managed to a high quality, on time and on budget; (2) Prepare and deliver project updates to the head of Trade Programmes, which should include flagging risks and options to resolve any issues.
  • The Project Manager will input into the planning and execution of inbound and outbound engagement to ensure delivery is outcomes focused and aligned to Trade and Investment projects.
  • Work with the Operations Manager to support the planning and execution of country plans. Support the Operations Manager in the planning and delivery of the Principal visits providing advice and inputs.
  • Proactively contribute to the development of the Trade and Investment Business Plan providing advice and inputs based on ongoing project evaluations and learning.
  • Lead on the development of relevant performance and KPI processes that monitor effective trade and investment project outcomes across the City of London Corporation.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams in Innovation & Growth and also Mansion House, the Office of the Policy Chairman, Remembrancers, Communications and the Corporate Affairs Team with respect to market and project assignments.
  • Input where required into the provision of timely high-quality briefings to members and officers of the City of London Corporation by providing information on Trade and Investment projects and quality assurance on team briefs as required.
  • Support the Trade and Investment leadership team to ensure that any projects being undertaken by the team align with IGs focus to support UK FPS to drive economic growth.
