HSE Advisor

Hays Health & Safety are working with a leading engineering company who are seeking a HSE Advisor on an interim basis to support them on a vegetation management contract with daily Health & Safety responsibilities.

You will have experience with a Distribution Network Provider (DNO) and have specific knowledge or experience in Arborist or Vegetation Management roles.

You will also have experience with overhead lines or relevant utilities experience and be willing to travel to sites across the northwest and wales.

Your new role:

  • Develop and implement policies on site and ensure the works are completed to legislation.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits.
  • Represent sites in regular Health & Safety meetings, reporting findings and suggestions to senior management.
  • Liaise with local landowners.
  • Report and investigate incidents, unsafe acts and accidents to senior management and implement corrective measures.
  • Provide consistent Health & Safety advice to all employees

What you will need

To be successful in this role you will need a strong understanding of Vegetation Management and have experience managing working at height.

You will have the ability to travel to multiple sites using your own vehicle and be able to plan your own workload in order to be available and visible.

You will have extensive Health & Safety experience, alongside great personal skills and be a diligent and driven professional ready to influence and improve culture.

£450-£500 Per Day is available for the correct candidate alongside all travel expenses.

The rate is negotiable based on experience.
