My client is an International Consultancy who urgently require a PMO Lead / Manager with proven experience of leading PMO functions within Enterprise scale organisations, working under pressure against fixed deadlines and demonstrable long term engagements seeing projects through challenging moments.
Key Requirements:
Up to £500 per day (Outside IR35)
London / Midlands (1-2 days per week onsite)
6 months initially
My client is an International Consultancy who urgently require a PMO Lead / Manager with proven experience of leading PMO functions within Enterprise scale organisations, working under pressure against fixed deadlines and demonstrable long term engagements seeing projects through challenging moments.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a PMO Lead / Manager working in large, complex organisations (preferably within the Engineering / Construction / Energy / Utilities sector(s)
- Comfortable overseeing project execution, provide guidance and direction for the PMO, and ensure that all projects are delivered with high quality and in a timely manner
- Previous experience of working under pressure against fixed deadlines
- Demonstrable long term engagements, seeing projects through challenging moments
- Experience of working on multiple workstreams concurrently
- RAID Management, escalation, prioritisation, assurance and mitigating risk capability
- Project level and Programme level reporting to Executive level
- Develop and maintain project management methodologies (Agile and Waterfall)
- Ability to track and report Project / Programme performance against defined objectives and communicate concisely to very Senior Stakeholders including Executive / C-Level
- Ensure all documentation is maintained to audit standard
- Advise, guide and lead project teams where necessary to align with PMO standards
- Proven experience of forecasting and tracking significant budgets, with expertise in providing analysis and reports to senior stakeholders for regular, consistent and accurate updates
- Excellent Communication and Stakeholder Management skills (clarity, engagement, accuracy and humour)
Nice to have: - Good understanding of CAPEX, OPEX and TOTEX around budgeting and forecasting
- Previous exposure to working on Operational Technology (OT) / Cyber Programmes
- Immediate availability
- Ideally Degree level educated
- Relevant certifications (ie PMO-CP, PMP, PgMP, PfMP etc)
