Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Sefton
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term (Potential for Permanent Position)
Working Hours:08:30am - 03:30pm, Monday to Friday
Job Description:
We are seeking experienced and passionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated team at an SEN school based in Litherland. This is a full-time, long-term position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to students with special educational needs in a classroom setting.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Work closely with teachers and other staff to create a supportive learning environment.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
- Support students in developing social skills and independence.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant.
- Strong understanding of special educational needs and strategies to support them.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
