Your new company

We are recruiting for a well-known organisation who specialises in the rehabilitation of people who do not have suitable accommodation for the term of their license or bail order. Their services cover a range of vulnerable people including the homeless, young people, prison leavers and women.

Your new role

We are seeking an experienced housing officer to join their housing support team based in the Scunthorpe and Grimsby area. You will be covering both areas, with the chance of covering other local areas depending on business needs, because of this, you will need to have a Full UK Driving license with business insurance.
Your main duties as a Housing Support Worker are to help service users with applying for Housing Benefits and assist them with paying rent by creating support plans.
All of their properties require to meet the Decent Homes Standard. This requires that all properties and supported living areas are clean, tidy and all repairs need to be reported and actioned.

Please note that this role is NOT a personal care role. You will be providing housing support to the service users and will monitor repairs and the cleanliness of the property.

Working hours are 8 hours per day, shift patterns and flexibility will be discussed during the interview.

What you'll need to succeed

Due to the nature of this role, in order to succeed you will need a background within social housing and knowledge regarding benefits/universal credit.

This role requires drivers who have access to their own vehicle with business insurance.
