Supermarket Operations Manager, London, £70,000 + OTE, Immediate Start!
Our client, an incredibly well-established multi-industry business based in the Middle East, are looking for an industry-experienced candidate to lead on their new Supermarket venture in the UK. Our client already boast very successful Food Retail operations across the Middle East and Europe, so this is a very exciting opportunity for the right candidate!
Our client are looking to expand into the UK market, replicating their overseas success. In order to do so, they require the right candidate to lead on implementing processes, budgets and hiring/managing the perfect team of employees. In a nutshell, your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing all supermarket operations
- Scaling and leading a team of 10-15 FTE
- Managing stock and inventory, ensuring optimal levels and minimising shortages
- Full accountability of P&L/budget
- Implementing Health & Safety regulations, ensuring full compliance
- Reviewing workloads and personnel to ensure targets are met/exceeded
- Developing and implementing effective sales strategies, promotions, and merchandising activities
- Conducting staff training, performance evaluations, and providing ongoing coaching to ensure a high-performing team
- Establishing/monitoring sales targets, analysing performance data to make informed business decisions
In order to be considered for this position, it is ESSENTIAL that you have the following:
- 15+ years' experience in Supermarket operations
- Experience in implementing processes/policies to ensure the smooth, successful running of a client-facing operation
- Experience of managing store P&L/budgets
- People management experience (recruiting/coaching/training, etc)
- Incredible communication skills
- Fun, sociable personality
In addition to a very competitive basic salary, our client are also offering a discretionary annual bonus, and a direct working relationship with the CEO - amazing exposure/progression opportunities!
