I am representing a well-established, family-run business in the Belfast area, seeking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to report directly to the Director. This reputable company has ambitious growth plans and is looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant to support them during this exciting period of expansion.

Your new role

You'll work closely with the director and your responsibilities will include:

• Helping prepare monthly management accounts

• Processing purchase ledger daily

• Handling supplier payments

• Posting month-end journals

• Filing monthly PAYE and CIS returns

• Compiling monthly reports

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this role, you should have proven experience as an Assistant Accountant / Bookkeeper with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software is essential, with experience using Sage being a distinct advantage. Ideal candidates will demonstrate excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
