Your new company
Working for a global bank, you will join the finance function on a 1-year contract to assist with financial reporting.
Your new role
Your role will be to support month end/quarter end close processes, which include, monitoring controls and accounts, processing journals, reconciliations, analytical review and preparation of monthly and quarterly MIS. Additionally, you will be involved in the preparation of analytical reviews of month-end results and ensure that the results are well understood by business finance counterparts. You will also be responsible for monthly and quarterly head office reporting using trade and subledger data, liaising with external and internal auditors, monthly UK attestation and control of ledger balances, investigation and resolution of breaks and issues within the legal entities, and ensuring adequate documentation of processes and procedures is maintained. You may also be asked to assist with ad hoc tasks as needed.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed, you will be a qualified accountant in ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent, with a relevant degree. An ideal candidate will have experience in big 4 audit, and if not, you must have experience in a similar role in the banking industry. You must understand the banking regulatory environment, have experience with SOX audit, and relevant systems like Peoplesoft or TM1.
