We are thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker to join a dedicated Safeguarding Team within a highly regarded Learning Disability and Autism Service. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on the local community, ensuring inclusivity for all.


Your new role

You will be a skilled Social Worker looking to join a highly regarded Safeguarding Team. You will be working with individuals with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism to achieve their desired outcomes. Your responsibilities include conducting S42 Safeguarding Enquiries, Mental Capacity Assessments, and collaborating with health professionals and other stakeholders such as carers and advocates. The organisation offers a supportive work environment prioritising training and development. As a Social Worker, you will engage in various unique projects, ensuring service users can enjoy a home of their own and live a healthy and meaningful life.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Professional qualification in Social Work
  • Current registration with SWE
  • Successful completion of an Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) programme if qualified as a Social Worker after June 2012
  • Knowledge and experience of current legislation such as The Care Act and The Mental Capacity Act, with a focus on Adult Safeguarding duties
  • Experience in conducting complex adult safeguarding enquiries and using professional judgment in complex situations
