Your new company
Join a prestigious single-family office that manages the wealth of a prominent European family. This family office is known for its significant investments in real estate, both overseas and increasingly within the UK. The team is small but highly professional, operating out of a shared working space in a prime London location.
Your new role
As the General Counsel, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day legal operations of the family office. You will work closely with key stakeholders, including the Principal, CFO, and Chief Investment Officer, to manage legal needs and provide sound legal advice. Your role will involve drafting and reviewing commercial and transactional documents, managing real estate transactions, conducting legal due diligence, and handling tax-related matters. You will be required to work four days a week in the office and travel short haul a couple of days each month.
What you'll need to succeed
10–15 years of experience in the legal profession, preferably within a family office environment.
A strong background in real estate law; marine law experience is a plus.
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
The ability to work independently and make decisions with limited supervision.
A strong professional network and excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Willingness to travel and handle large value transactions with ease.
Professionalism, confidentiality, and the ability to work under pressure.
What you'll get in return
Competitive salary, with flexibility based on experience and qualifications.
Comfortable travel arrangements, including business class flights and occasional use of a private jet.
Opportunity to work in a dynamic and prestigious family office environment.
Collaborative and supportive team culture.
Prime office location in London, with easy access to public transport.
