Your new company

This logistics company provides logistics services including road and rail transport, warehousing, and terminal management across Scotland and has been established for a number of years and works with some very prestigious clients in the industry. The Company provides integrated third-party logistics solutions including bonded and non-bonded warehousing and supply chain management to a number of blue-chip customers across Scotland and England.

Your new role

The Company is seeking to appoint an experienced and competent Weekend Traffic Coordinator at their logistics depot. This role is ideally suited to an individual with a keen interest in transport and distribution who can demonstrate a proven record of effective and efficient transport planning within a national busy fleet operation. The overall objective of this role is to ensure that the customer receives first-class service whilst maintaining cost-effectiveness. Key responsibilities include providing professional customer service · Day-to-day load planning and scheduling of the fleet. Prioritising workload and route planning. Daily driver brief and de-brief, tachograph tracking. Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers. The above duties are integral aspects of the role. However, there are other tasks involved in the general day-to-day operation of the depot which you will be required to be a part of.


What you'll need to succeed

We are looking for candidates who have some experience with transport planning with good geographical knowledge.

What you'll get in return

A competitive salary and this is a weekend position and the working hours are Friday 0800-1800 and Saturday and Sunday are 0600-1700. Reasonable flexibility is expected in order to meet the requirements of the business, particularly at peak operational periods.
