Pastoral Head of Year Job in Bradford to start February 2025, full -time 5 days a week.

Hays Education are working with a Bradford secondary school, who are looking for a Pastoral Head of Year, for a long-term job, to start in February 2025.

Your new role as Pastoral Head of Year you will:

• Promote positive behaviour, attitudes and attendance across the school and their year group (s).

• Support students to overcome barriers to learning associated with challenging behaviour and attendance.

• Be committed to the highest standards of support for student welfare and will work collaboratively with staff, students, parents and carers.
  Implement the behaviour and attendance policies and support behaviour and attendance interventions set up by the school.

• Support the systems that are in place, or are implemented to support positive behaviour, attitudes and attendance, ensuring there is a consistent approach across the school.

• Where appropriate, liaise with external agencies.

• Managing year groups of between 75 - 150 Pupils

• This is 5 days per week 37.5 hours
  
  What you'll need to succeed as a Pastoral Head of Year in this role:

• Experience in Pastoral in a secondary setting or Head of Year

• Have reference-able, appropriate experience within the last 2 years (Ideally as Pastoral Head of Year)

• Be proactive in supporting students

• Robust in managing behaviour in a positive manner
