Qualified Finance Manager required for new position in Milton Keynes

Hays are delighted to be working with a SME organisation in the Milton Keynes area. Due to growth in the business, our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join the team, reporting into the Group Financial Controller. The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and providing strategic financial insights to support business decisions.

Your new role

This is a great opportunity for a Qualified Finance Manager to join an expanding business in the heart of the Milton Keynes business district, we are looking for a hands on Finance Manager who is used to working within an SME business environment.

Key responsibilities will include.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Budget Management: Develop, monitor, and manage budgets, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, including tax filings and audits.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies that support the company's growth objectives.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring the company's financial stability and sustainability.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate financial performance and insights to stakeholders, including the board of directors and investors.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate for the position will be a ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent Qualified Accountant, with a minimum of 5 years experience in finance. In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and best practices, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, strong analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
