Your new school:
This primary school is located in Bristol and is in search of a Teaching Assistant to join their Year 6 class as soon as possible, working full-time in this Year 6 teachers' classroom alongside them. This school’s Year 6 class is amazing to work with and are extremely engaged in the run-up to the SATs. The teacher you will be working with is also extremely passionate, and the school promotes the welfare of its children as well as their developmental progress. This BS5 school is located along a public bus route and has a car park on site too. This is a full-time, long-term position.
Your new role:
This role as a Teaching Assistant in the Year 6 classroom will require Maths and English experience alongside reading experience too. This is as the children will require help with top level 6 maths, English and reading in preparation for their SATs at the end of this academic year. You will be required to assist with the preparation of the classroom and set up lessons for the day alongside looking after the children and assisting with their learning during the school day.
Requirements to succeed in your new role:
- Teaching assistant qualification
- Two working references from your most recent jobs that apply relevance to the position
- Previous experience with Year 6 children is desirable
- A DBS on the update service is required. This can be done by us here at Hays!
