SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity in Market Harborough

Hays Education is working with a SEN school near Market Harborough who are looking for a new SEND Teaching Assistant to start working after Easter. The school supports children with ASD to prepare for adulthood with a creative and inspiring curriculum including forest school. The successful candidate will work full-time until the end of the academic year.

As a Teaching Assistant working with Hays, you will have the opportunity to work in schools local to you whilst retaining control of your work-life balance.

Your new role

In your new job as a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work with a team of like-minded practitioners to support pupils with ASD to thrive both academically and socially. Hays Teaching Assistants make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people who have a range of care needs, life experiences and personalities which make every day different! You’ll benefit from on-going support from your Hays consultant, Hollie, who will be there for you throughout this placement and beyond.

What you need to succeed

To succeed in your new job, you’ll have a minimum of 1 years’ experience working with pupils who have ASD, ideally in an educational setting. You’ll be able to adapt to the needs of students across Key Stages with previous experience supporting children with communication and/or sensory needs. Most importantly, you’ll be confident stepping into a new school and ready to quickly build relationships with colleagues, pupils and parents.
