Maths Teacher job in Leicester - Maternity Cover!

Maths Teacher – West Leicestershire Secondary School

  • Start date: August 2025
  • End date: 1-year maternity contract
  • Subject: Maths at KS3 & KS4
  • Timetable: Full Time

We are working in partnership with an Ofsted ‘Good’ Secondary school in West Leicestershire who are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Maths Teacher. This is a full-time and long-term position to cover maternity leave. To be successful, you will be a qualified Maths Teacher with recent experience teaching across Key Stage 3 and 4.

Job Description

  • Delivering engaging and Maths to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Planning and preparing schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments.
  • Monitoring student progress and providing feedback.
  • Contributing to the development of the department’s curriculum.
  • Participating in extracurricular activities such as sports clubs and school trips.

Person Specification

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Maths or related field
  • Recent experience teaching Maths at secondary school level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members
