Your new role

As MEH Construction planner, you will support the construction lead planner to develop and progress the integrated level 5 schedule which encompasses the full MEH scope.
This role is to deliver support to Hinkley Point C, helping develop technologies in SMR (Small modular Reactor) capability.

Responsibilities

  • Support the construction lead planner in developing and progressing the integrated level 5 schedule
  • Work with the PDO planning team, Delivery Integration, and Area Management teams
  • Be responsible for onsite planning of installation activities and associated data
  • Develop, integrate, design, test, and commission detailed construction schedules within the MEH phase.
  • Conduct integrated schedule reviews to develop detailed, optimised construction delivery sequences and resource-loaded schedules
  • Manage and update schedule data within planning and production control toolsets
  • Support performance optimisation across Safety, Quality, Cost, Time, and Risk
  • Ensure MEH installation schedules are supported by relevant digital toolsets and data
  • Produce, manage, and maintain MEH Programme construction schedules in accordance with planning procedures and contract requirements.
  • Report site progress using various methods
Qualifications:

  • A construction trade or OND/HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent in Construction Management or related subject
  • Professional membership of RICS/CIOB/RIBA/ICE/CIBSE, or demonstrable experience based on previous project assignments
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of programme progress and forecast position and planning
  • Strong communication skills
  • Understanding of various methods of planning, programming, and progress monitoring
  • Understanding of the construction market, methods of construction, plant, equipment, and labour requirements
  • Basic understanding of estimating principles
