Seeking Learning & Development professional for a permanent position with a large public sector organisation

Hays are working with a public sector organisation to recruit an Organisational Development Officer to join their L&D team on a permanent basis.


Your new role

As an Organisational Development Officer, you will support the implementation of a range of blended learning solutions, with a focus on the design and delivery of digital learning to contribute to the organisation’s strategic plans.

  • Become a systems expert for the LMS and supervise all technical activities, design, and developments to ensure that they are efficient at meeting organisational requirements.

  • Ensure that learning systems are performing efficiently, reviewing new system design & functionality, user journeys, and identifying opportunities and inefficiencies and provide recommendations for improvements.

  • Establish strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the business, including subject-matter experts, through the development of eLearning.

  • Provide support on specific OD projects and proactively track project deliverables against budget cost schedule, project plan and quality plan.

  • Produce comprehensive reports and effectively evaluate and monitor outcomes and compliance activities in line with short-, medium- and long-term goals.

  • Provide support to the People and OD Manager in the preparation and analysis of career development planning to ensure clear action plans are developed and shared with each business area.

What you'll need to succeed

Essential
  • Possess a minimum of two years’ experience of adapting and developing digital learning and development solutions and eLearning within a large organisation

  • Experience of providing analysis of data to present back to senior stakeholders

  • Experience of external contract management

  • Experience of manipulating digital platforms to provide user analytics

  • Experience of managing internal stakeholders to achieve learning and development outcomes

  • Experience of project planning and delivery using Project Management methodologies within a learning and development environment

  • Possess a minimum of an HNC/HND qualification or equivalent

  • Able to satisfy such medical standards as may apply to the post

    Desirable

  • Procurement experience

  • Possess Prince 2 accreditation

  • Experience of dealing with project risks
