The Department
The Geography Department within the humanities directorate is a small, cohesive and dedicated team who work together to achieve excellent outcomes for students. Their vision and commitment in developing the curriculum has been recognised by the award of the Bernice McCabe award for curriculum design and the Princes Teaching Institute centre of excellence quality mark. The department is at the forefront of the Academy’s co-curricular offer and runs a wide range of trips to enhance student understanding of individual subjects, as well as to improve students’ life experiences.

The Role
We are looking for a Geography teacher who:
* has excellent subject knowledge in human and physical Geography and the ability to make the connections between them clear
* is enthusiastic and engages and motivates pupils to reach their potential
* plans and delivers lessons of an outstanding quality
* will mark, feedback and report on assessments within Geography with a focus on improving students’ success
* will work with and contribute to the award-winning Geography curriculum at Broadway
* will contribute actively to department meetings
* participates in continually developing subject and pedagogical knowledge
